None of us enjoy mosquitoes! We don't like being bitten by these pesky bugs but very few of us take the necessary precautions to keep them away. Aside from just covering yourself with a bug repellent when you plan to be outdoors, there are quite a few simple steps you can take to avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes this year.
As anyone who has ever spent a summer evening in the open air knows, mosquitoes are a nuisance. With their whining buzz and relentless search for blood, they can drive even the hardiest outdoor lovers indoors with ease. They can also pose a health risk. We are into mosquito season and the fight to keep them off our property and out of our homes.
There is nothing quite like a summer night in your backyard. Cookouts, s’mores roasting over the fire, children laughing and playing– dreamy! But the mosquitoes. Those dreadful, blood-sucking, pesky bugs. Somehow, they can make the perfect evening unenjoyable. And if you get bit by one, expect to get bit by several.
Be prepared Mosquito season starts slowly in the spring, peaks in the summer, and tapers off into fall. Cooler temperatures, football, get-togethers outside--what’s not to love? Unfortunately, just because it’s fall doesn’t mean we’re safe from mosquitoes--they’ll stick around for a little bit until the temperatures start to cool down drastically.
Now that summer is approaching, our worst outdoor enemy will be back with a vengeance. That’s right, mosquitoes. They swarm your barbecues and evening porch-sitting, invade your home, whine incessantly in your ears, steal your blood and leave behind an itchy reminder of their deed. Most of us know mosquitoes are a nuisance, but hating them for that just isn’t enough.
